Barista

Duties:

Customer Service: Greet customers as they enter, answer their questions, and assist them in selecting baked goods. Provide a friendly and helpful attitude to ensure a positive customer experience.

Operating Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Use electronic cash registers or POS systems to process sales transactions. Scan or input product barcodes, enter prices, and process payments accurately.

Bagging and Packaging: Carefully package and bag bakery items, ensuring that they are presented neatly and are protected from damage during transport.

Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area clean and organized, ensuring that it is well-stocked with necessary supplies like receipt paper and shopping bags.

Beverage Preparation: Prepare beverage items like lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, and specialty drinks.

Experience:

- Previous experience working in a bakery or cafe is an asset

- Knowledge of barista techniques, ingredients, and equipment is an asset

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
