Textile Print Designer – Procreate

We are seeking a skilled Textile Print Designer to create unique and captivating designs for our high fashion womenswear brand.

Job Description:
• Create textile print designs using Procreate as per design reference brief.
• Develop prints with the look of hand-painted florals using Procreate.

The Ideal Candidate:
• Candidates from reputable institutes such as NIFT or JJ College of Textile Design are preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in textile design.

Job description

• Responsibilities:

- Create Mood Boards: Develop inspiring mood boards to guide and communicate design concepts.
- Research and Development: Conduct thorough research, plan, and develop ranges based on themes. Collaborate with the design team, buyers, and forecasters to meet briefs.
- Collaboration: Liaise closely with the ECOMM team and production teams to ensure products align with customer needs, market trends, and price points.
- Fabric, Print, and Embroidery Development: Coordinate with the team to develop fabric, prints, and embroidery designs.
- Technical Understanding: Understand design from a technical perspective, including producing patterns and technical specifications. Conduct fabric and garment performance tests for each design/order.
- Pre-production Management: Manage pre-production activities, including fit testing and pre-production samples. Create and maintain Time and Action Plans for each order.
- Cost Structures and Consumptions: Have a strong understanding of cost structures and consumptions for each order.
- Sourcing: Visit trade shows and manufacturers to source, select, and purchase fabrics, trims, fastenings, and embellishments.
- Event Handling: Identify and participate in the best pop-up shows across India. Ability to handle events effectively.
- Mass Production Adaptation: Adapt existing designs for mass production, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Pattern Development: Develop patterns that are cut and sewn into sample garments. Supervise creation, fitting, detailing, and adaptations.
• Requirements:

- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in working with fabrics such as Canric prints, Satin, Linen, knits cotton.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a creative mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Salary: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
