What you will be doing:
Develop and Implement Applications: Design, develop, and implement Java applications, including both back-end services and client-end interfaces.
Integrate Systems: Integrate Java-based applications with other applications and databases.
Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with clients, project managers, and other engineers to determine program requirements and scope.
Utilize Development Methodologies: Use software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum for project management.
Debug and Test Software: Conduct thorough software debugging and testing to ensure functionality and performance.
Perform Code Reviews: Review code to identify and fix potential issues, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Stay Updated: Keep up with new technologies and software development best practices, including new versions of Java.
Document and Train: Document software specifications and train users as necessary.
What you bring:
Knowledge of FIS products and services; in-depth knowledge of products and services in assigned line(s) of business
• Knowledge of financial services industry
• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, e.g., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development
• Knowledge of standards relevant to the software industry , e.g., ISO, CMM, Six Sigma
• Knowledge of banking practices, regulations and operations within assigned line(s) of business
• In-depth understanding of design patterns and their application
• Fluency in developing and understanding sequence diagrams, class models, etc.
