Wrapex is currently looking for Journeyman Scaffolders to start as soon as possible for an LOA job in Lloydminster.


Job Duties

Execute industry acceptable building practices using both Tube & Clamp and System Scaffold
Must be able to mentor and direct apprentices and labourers as required and able to communicate effectively with other trades
Must be able to follow direction and work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work at heights
Must be able to work safely and follow safe work procedures

Education, Skills, and Responsibilities

Journeyman certification or Non Ticketed Journeyman is required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety documents, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and blueprints.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Demonstrate practical problem-solving ability.
Highly motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision or in small teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong hand-eye coordination.
Climb heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints.
A high regard for health and safety in the workplace.
Confident participating in safety meetings, daily toolboxes, and hazard assessments prior to commencing daily work activities.

Job Specific Tasks

Unloading scaffolding material on site
Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
Erecting scaffolding poles
Laying planks for workers to walk on
Fixing guard rails and safety netting
Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete
Comfortable with tube & clamp and system scaffolding techniques.

Working Conditions

Lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs of materials
Physical demands; bending, walking, climbing
Working outside in inclement weather conditions
Potential exposure to high noise levels and hazards common to industrial plant settings
