Entry Level - fashion Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Entry-Level Fashion Designer to join our design team. This role involves assisting in the design and development of seasonal collections, preparing tech packs, researching fashion trends, and supporting the senior designers in daily tasks. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for style, a good understanding of fabrics and silhouettes, and a passion for the fashion industry.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design Support
• Assist in creating sketches, CADs, and mood boards
• Contribute ideas to seasonal concepts and collections
• Help prepare tech packs and specification sheets for production

Trend & Market Research
• Research current fashion trends, colors, materials, and styles
• Assist in competitor analysis and market studies
• Support design team in sourcing fabric and trim samples

Sample Development
• Coordinate with sample makers and vendors for prototype development
• Attend fittings and take notes for revisions
• Track samples and organize them by season or project

Collaboration & Coordination
• Work closely with the merchandising, production, and marketing teams
• Support photoshoots and collection presentations as needed
• Maintain organized design files and assist with data entry

Technical & Administrative Tasks
• Update design boards, line sheets, and internal documents
• Help manage garment approvals and maintain records
• Prepare swatch books and assist with showroom setup

Key Skills:
• Strong sketching, illustration, and design software skills (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D, etc.)
• Basic understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and pattern-making
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Creativity, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
• Internship experience in a fashion house, design studio, or brand preferred
• Portfolio demonstrating design aesthetics, sketches, and technical work
