Equipment Operator, Shallow Utilities

Certifications / Training:

· A pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.

· CSTS or PCST tickets.

· Valid ABCGA Endorsed Ground Disturbance Level II ticket (In class).

· Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

· Valid CSA approved boots.

General Responsibilities:

· Operate in fast paced, loud environments while demonstrating awareness of potential hazards and extreme caution. Perference given to those with Case 580 Backhoe experience

· Relies on experience to recognize hazards and conducts field level hazard assessments and equipment inspections adhering to the company safety policy.

· Installation of various mediums: Storm water pipe, sanitary pipe, sewer pipe, gas etc.

· Read and understand written and verbal instructions related to safety, specific grading and other facets of the project.

· Assist with backfill and compaction of excavation.

Working hours are typically 7 am - 5 pm; 5-6 days a week with overtime paid as per AB construction industry standard.

We offer in-house progressive training and opportunities for advancement within our company such as, fusing, equipment operators, welders’ helpers, foreman's, etc.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
