Internship - Judges' Clerk
Full-time, fixed term
Christchurch District Court
Attention enthusiastic law professionals! We have a great internship opportunity for up to 3 years, and for the highly motivated individual, Ministry of Justice will cover the cost of your Profs course.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity
You will receive a front row seat of the judicial system intricacies to provide high-quality research for resident and visiting District Court Judges of the Southern region. You will fulfil that responsibility by supplying efficient and accurate legal support on any topic required.
Ideally, we would like to start you in the role immediately so if you....
enjoy working independently towards a collective goal
manage workloads and maintain confidentiality as second nature
understand the practicalities of outcomes as well as their legality

The successful candidate will:
hold an LLB with a strong academic record
possess excellent written communication & research skills
have refined computer literacy abilities

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The present starting salary of judges' clerks on appointment at all levels is $68,845 pa, progressing in six-monthly increments to $83,135 per annum for the last six months of their contract.
