DIVISION: Support Services

TITLE: CPIC Optic Support Clerk

SALARY RANGE: Job Class III (Annual $63,471.20 - $74,+84.00)(Jan. 2026 rates)

SUPERVISOR: Manager, Information Services


POSITION SUMMARY:

Keeps current with knowledge of policies and procedures of the assigned work area.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Equipment used includes but is not limited to: Personal computer and related programs, photocopier, telephone, and fax machine.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Time management skills.
Proven effective communication skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Analytical skills with problem solving abilities.
Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications required for position including CPIC, OMPPAC/OPTIC, service policy and procedures.
Proficient in data entry/keyboarding.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verifying daily data entries for missing persons and stolen vehicles on CPIC and RMS Niche.
Verifying the CPIC Coordinator’s CPIC entries i.e. warrants.
Receiving and processing monthly validation and purge lists.
Liaising with various outside agencies, i.e. Algoma Remand Centre, Probation and Parole offices, Provincial Court, etc. when validating and verifying CPIC entries.
Adding charges to CPIC for accused persons charged by way of summons.
Reviewing RMS Niche incidents daily to verify property, missing persons, and stolen vehicles for addition or removal from CPIC.
Enter property tags/sheets/exhibits onto Niche RMS.
Accessing NICHE/CPIC for general inquiries.
Attending training courses as required.
Assisting with CPIC audits.
Relieving CPIC/Staffing Coordinator.
Performing any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
