Job Summary
The Asphalt Plant Labourer is responsible for supporting the asphalt plant team by performing a variety of physical tasks.

Main Responsibilities
Clean up and maintain asphalt plants.
Load, unload, and transport materials.
Assist heavy equipment operators.
Grease asphalt plant parts.
Direct traffic around asphalt plants.
Other duties as required.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Certifications
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license (Class 5).
Own transportation.

Work Experience
Experience is an asset.

Working Conditions
Overtime as required.
Ability to work weekends.
Ability to work a 12 hour day.

Able to perform physically demanding tasks.
Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, grease, fumes, odors, oil, asphalt, and toxic and flammable substances.
Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 40 lbs on a regular basis.
Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
Must comply with all company policies.
