Are you right for this role?
Must-Have Attributes
4+ years of experience in lending across business or product roles
Has worked at a digital lending fintech or the merchant lending team of a marketplace/SaaS platform
Has worked at a bank or NBFC
Strong understanding of unsecured business or merchant loans and MSME lending
Evidence of founding team traits - taking ownership, working cross functionally and thriving in fast paced environments
Based in Mumbai
Available to start within 45 days.

Good-to-Have Attributes
Experience lending to D2C brands

Experience with co-lending or LSP relationships between a fintech and bank/NBFC
Proficient in using GST and banking data for underwriting
Worked closely with engineering or data science teams
Strong understanding of the D2C business model
Led or contributed to marketing campaigns for lending products
At least 2+ years experience at a fintech and 2+ years experience at a bank/NBFC.

Overview of the Job
This role has complete ownership over Merito’s lending platform. You will
- Drive credit adoption across Merito’s existing brand base
Work cross functionally to optimise Merito’s lending stack
Innovate on new loan products and data-led GTM strategies
Work with the engineering team to optimise the Merito Score
Stay plugged into trends in ecommerce and digital lending — and bring those insights back to the product

Compensation
This position comes with a competitive fixed salary and ESOPs.
