Cost Accountant Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, including experience in standard costing procedures, variance analysis, and forecasting raw material costs.

Responsibilities:
• Planning and coordination of plant budgets
• Implementation of standard costing procedures
• Forecasting of raw material costs, manpower costs, conversion costs, and overall product costs
• Management of data to consistently monitor product costs
• Preparation of inventory valuation reports and analysis of discrepancies

The successful candidate will also be responsible for estimating non-standard product costs to support quoting activities, performing variance analysis of raw materials and components costs periodically, and monitoring and implementing plant internal controls to ensure reporting integrity and safeguard company assets.
