Senior Android Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Android Engineer

Experience Level: 6 to 10 years

Location: Remote (India)

We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our Mobile Apps Team and drive feature development for our services, enhancing the experience of over 11 million customers.

Collaborating with the Product Owner, Architect, and team members, you'll clarify business needs, define technical requirements, and deliver impactful solutions in an agile environment.

Mandatory Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience with Android development
• You have the skills to independently investigate and implement new features.
• You possess a product-oriented mindset and an understanding of customer needs.
• Being responsible for the quality of the solution you deliver comes naturally to you. You have experience with unit testing and Test-Driven Development.
• Experience with debugging, profiling, publishing and monitoring apps.
• You guide less experienced colleagues, helping to structure and clarify requirements with.
• Experience working with agile practices, values, and principles.
• Empathetic and able to easily build relationships.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have Qualifications:
• Experience with A/B testing and feature flags.
• Experience with localisation.

Your Responsibilities:
• Work closely with your team and Product Owner in an agile setup, contributing to technical and architectural decisions.
• Develop and deliver applications for one of Europe's leading pet e-commerce platforms.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: discovery, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Continuously learn and grow, leveraging technologies like Java, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and MVVM.
