Billing Representative - Freight Receivables (Wire/ACH)

Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing key support to our customers on payments, wire transfers, and transactions related to accounts receivable. This position will also be responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative functions such as resolving accounts receivable issues and records in the MSC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
Replies to customers’ questions regarding the payments they made and makes corrections in the MSC systems if necessary.
Creates reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested.
Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff.
Collaborates with the Collections Manager to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis.
Maintains and updates customer files.
Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications & Key Competencies:
Required skills, experience, education
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a similar role (supply chain, transportation, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, customer service, etc.)
English: advanced
Attention to detail: Must have
Organized, efficient, and able to manage time effectively
Strong customer service mindset, focused, and responsive
Ability to work under tight deadlines
Great team player
Knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to learn new software
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
