Full job description
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Assist with the day-to-day accounting operations, including processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting and analysis.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

Prepare and process routine journal entries, including those related to leases, intercompany bill-backs, and other recurring transactions.
Assist with the preparation of the annual and periodic budgets for the Technical Center.
Support the monthly financial closing process by compiling and organizing account information for review.
Assist with maintaining the general ledger, including basic account maintenance and reconciliation support.
Help maintain accurate bank records and assist with bank reconciliations.
Adhere to established internal controls and company policies.
Support the Senior Accountant in providing information to external and internal auditors as requested.
Assist with the processing of accounts payable as needed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BS in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years of Accounting, Finance, or related discipline experience. Entry-level candidates with strong academic backgrounds may be considered.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar system) is a plus, but not a necessity.
Ability to compile and organize data for reports.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions effectively.
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
The pay range anticipated for this role is $57,000 to $60,000 per year. Please keep in mind that this range represents an estimate based upon requested experience and skill sets. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, experience, knowledge, skills, and may differ from this estimate.
