WORKSHOP MECHANIC/TRAILER TECHNICIAN

Austate Services is a trailer manufacturer. 50% of our work involves fit outs including but not limited to fitment of new axles and suspension and full harness wiring.

The other 50% involves trailer servicing and maintenance. We operate in a clean and safe environment with hoists enabling the majority of all jobs being worked on are off the floor.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and highly motivated and possess the following skills and experience:

Trade qualifications as a heavy diesel mechanic Cert 111

Diesel Mechanic experience (SEASONED PREFERRED)

Examiner qualifications and experience (ADVANTAGEOUS)

MR or HC Licence (A MUST)

Computer literate with a strong ability to document and record the service and maintenance carried out

Be highly organised and capable of working without supervision

Be reliable, honest and work as part of a team

Fluent written and verbal communication skills a must

Have great work ethics with strong attention to detail

Your role will include but not limited to the service/maintenance of heavy road trailers & some trucks. You will also be responsible for repairing, modifying and maintaining some vehicles including company fleet also. Your role will be widely varied and may include welding and repair work. You must be willing to help where required.

We run a very active workshop which offers long-time job security.

Our workshop is based in Minto. It is a 15 minute walk from the nearest rail station in Leumeah. If you are driving we are easily accessible via the Hume Highway off the Campbelltown exit which is then an approximate 5 minute drive to our site. Plenty of amenities exist in and around the area
