ABOUT US & THE ROLE
Padea partners with schools to deliver after-hours, on-campus study programs. In our sessions, students get tutoring in every subject and build study habits, while making life easier for parents.
As an Academic Tutor, you will provide students expert support, while holding them accountable to their goals. In return, you will enjoy the competitive pay, high flexibility and meaningful impact of private tutoring, with none of the unpaid admin and short, unreliable hours.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with your students to set goals for each session and develop actionable steps to achieve them.
Keep your students progressing on their goals and work, while managing distractions and behaviour.
Proactively identify understanding gaps and improvement areas, then deliver personalised, engaging tutoring.
Develop genuine relationships with students and offer relatable mentorship on study skills, pathways, etc.
Share actionable feedback with your student’s parents each session.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum ATAR ++.00 (or equivalent) or a subject score of at least +0 percent in the subjects you wish to tutor.
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate university degree or recently graduated from secondary school.
Proven track record of tutoring or working with students, with group experience preferred.
Able to commit to at least one, three-hour, on-site shift per week for the duration of the school term.
A valid Working with Children Check (WWWC) or eligibility to obtain one.
Reliable transportation to our partner school campuses (a driver’s licence and vehicle are preferred but not required).
YOUR COMPENSATION
$50 per hour ($150 per three-hour shift), with progression opportunities tied to increased pay.
Complementary, restaurant-catered meals available each shift with a thirty-minute paid dinner break.
Access to our generous tutor referral bonus programme.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Apply online at www.padea.com.au/tutors by completing our two-minute application form. Applications close at midnight, Friday 20th June 2026.

Offers will be made by Friday 11th July 2026. The role commences on the week of the 21st of July 2026.
