Job Type: Full-time, minimum 30 hours
Duration: Permanent
Approximate Pay: $23.80- $25 per hour (depending on experience)

About the role

Cobb & Co Porirua is looking for a reliable and hard-working Kitchenhand to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll play an essential part in supporting our kitchen staff and keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand.
Clean benches, floors, sinks, and kitchen appliances regularly.
Dispose of rubbish and food waste properly, and keep waste and recycling areas clean and tidy.
Assist with basic food prep (e.g. chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, cleaning and keeping the kitchen clean) under chef supervision.
Unpack food deliveries, check items, and store stock correctly -To do that, you need to be able to read the names of the items properly and enter all the items correctly in our cobb app electronically.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements

A Diploma/Bachelor's or at least 2 years of previous kitchen or cleaning experience.
Able to handle the dessert and dishes sections together, and at the end of the shift, do the cleaning of the kitchen.

Must be legally allowed to work in New Zealand
Willingness to undergo random drug testing if required
A criminal history check may be conducted if necessary
