Yard Groomer and Support

Manawatu Toyota in Palmerston North is looking for an enthusiastic team player to join us as our full time Groomer and Yard Support person.

You will get the satisfaction of knowing you’re playing a major part in preparing and keeping our top-quality vehicles looking amazing, inside and out.

You'll develop a weekly routine that keeps our Used and Demonstrator vehicles looking sparkling, greet our customers on the yard with a smile and helpful directions and be ready to help out the team in general.

Therefore, we will need someone who;

Takes pride, ownership and responsibility in all their work with a strong attention to detail
Is physically fit and loves working outdoors in all weather conditions
Is happy to help out other team members, sometimes at the drop of a hat!
Is after a high energy position with great job satisfaction
Has a clean driving record and a full licence (restricted minimum) and can drive a manual
Will follow our philosophies and practices around reducing water use and environmental impacts related to this role
Has a sense of humour and will interact positively with all of our team and customers.
This job will entail, but is not limited to;

Cleaning cars - inside and out
Fueling vehicles
Detailing cars ready for customer collection
Driving vehicles between our stores
Customer coordination and vehicle delivery
Working closely with our contractors and suppliers (e.g. our service department, painters, external groomers etc.)
Some experience in this line of work will be advantageous but is not essential - it's about the right attitude and personality.
