Overview
Works under the supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Managers. Assists in various activities in the pharmacy not requiring the professional judgement of a pharmacist. Performs pharmacy related duties in compliance with department policies and procedures. Demonstrates and maintains competency in all technician tasks and functions. Responsible for the oversight of select areas/functions in the department as designated. Available to work all shifts (days, evenings, and nights, where applicable) to meet the needs of the department. Arranges sequence and timing of work to meet normal and variable work requirements. Provides technical support in any or all of the following pharmacy functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Registration with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. National Certification required. OR Licensed as Pharmacy Intern Chemotherapy Trained required (where applicable).
At least 1 year full-time experience as pharmacy technician; Successfully completes baseline training in medication history technician function within +0 days of hire, including successful demonstration of 10 medication histories as validated by pharmacist review
