Overview:
Systems Planning and Analysis Australia Pty Ltd (SPA Australia) provides senior decision makers within the Australian Department of Defence with timely and objective assessments affecting their capability employment and investment strategies. Our team of former military professionals and operations research analysts integrate military expertise with advanced analytic methods - including force generation modeling, agent-based tactical simulations, and operational mission analyses - to deliver trusted decision support that directly contributes to national security outcomes.

SPA Australia is seeking a Senior Military Analyst for part time work in Canberra.

Responsibilities:
Duties/Roles
Provide specialist military knowledge and understanding to a range of complex defence problems.
Apply specialist military knowledge to Defence problems across the One Defence Capability System (ODCS).
Support analysis of Joint and Integrated Force capabilities from the force-in-being through to future capabilities.
Work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team to provide timely and relevant subject matter expertise.
Apply an understanding of analysis techniques and Defence processes to inform complex stakeholder engagements and decision-making.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Masters of Business Adminstration
Masters of Operational Studies
Masters of Defence Studies
15 years of Defence related experience
High-level critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders and subject matter experts within the Defence space
Positive attitude towards continuous professional development and a demonstrated ability to lead and have dept of experience in global secruity enviornment

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) are applicable to this role and as such, the position will or is likely to require access to material controlled by ITAR and EAR (Controlled Material). Therefore, any person occupying the position must be able to satisfy ITAR and EAR controls, which may require specific authorisation to access Controlled Materials. Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience in Defence, or
Prior leadership experience, or
Prior experience or demonstrable aptitude for complex problem analysis, or
