We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the HONI Project Manager in driving the successful execution of key projects within the POWER PMO-OE project team. This role is critical in ensuring that project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
As the APM, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day project coordination, fostering effective communication across stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with elements of project scheduling and risk management. This position requires strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to the HONI Project Manager across all phases of project execution
Coordinate and track project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines and deliverables
Maintain up-to-date project documentation including meeting minutes, action logs, and status reports
Support communication efforts between internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders
Assist with monitoring project schedules and identifying potential risks or delays
Participate in project meetings and support follow-up actions as required
Collaborate with the broader POWER PMO-OE team to support overall project goals and ensure consistency in project delivery
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in project management, engineering, business, or a related field
5 years of experience in a project coordination or assistant project management role (experience within utility or infrastructure projects is a plus)
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar is an asset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a collaborative team environment

Full-time: 40 hours per week
