Opportunity – the ‘what’
As a Marketing Operations Assistant, you will:
Administer and record the distribution of gratis and incentive marketing materials, including review copies and award submissions.
Maintain and enhance product information in the OUP Marketing database (STAR) and ensure accuracy on public websites.
Create and supply sales collateral such as catalogues and sales sheets to Academic Sales teams.
Support cooperative marketing initiatives with external partners, managing budgets and tracking spend.
Manage communications with current and prospective authors, including triaging emails and preparing promotional materials.
Provide general administrative support for new tasks centralized within Marketing Operations, ensuring documentation and continuity.
Your contributions will help streamline marketing operations, enhance product visibility, and support OUP’s engagement with authors, partners, and customers.
About You
Essential Criteria
Approachable, collaborative, and flexible team player
IT literate with good written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and adaptability
Educated to A level/BTEC standard or CIM Level 3 qualification or higher
At least 6 months of experience in a professional office environment
Intermediate IT skills, ideally with advanced Excel capabilities
Experience in a customer service role (internal or external)
Desirable Criteria
Ability to lead tuition of simple processes and tasks
Experience in marketing or publishing environments
