Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Skechers / Designer for our garment manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new apparel designs, customizing designs as per client requirements, and ensuring alignment with production, quality, and compliance standards. This role requires strong creativity, coordination skills, and knowledge of the apparel manufacturing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Development:

Create and develop new apparel designs aligned with the market trends.

Modify or adapt existing designs as per client requirements and buyer feedback.

Work on seasonal collections, sample development, and product innovation.

2. Team Coordination:

Interact directly with Co- team members/Head for design approvals and updates.

Interpret tech packs and ensure accuracy in patterns, trims, fabrics, and fit.

Ensure timely submission of samples for approvals.

3. Production Coordination:

Collaborate with production and merchandising teams to ensure design feasibility and execution.

Assist in developing BOMs (Bill of Materials), size sets, and pre-production samples.

Monitor the progress of styles from design to dispatch.

4. Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all designs meet quality standards, compliance protocols, and testing requirements.

Coordinate with the quality and technical team to resolve design or fit-related issues.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain design records, mood boards, buyer communications, and style files.

Track and report order status, sample timelines, and client feedback.

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Apparel Merchandising.

3–4 years of relevant experience in garment export/manufacturing industry

Strong understanding of garment design, product development, buyer requirements.

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and MS Office.

Excellent communication, visualization, and coordination skills.

Knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and finishing.

Salary: As per industry standards

Reporting to: Design Head / Product Development Manage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
