InBarn and West Coast Robotics are leading providers of technical solutions that enhance dairy farm operations. We are the gold standard when it comes to dairy automation.

As we continue to expand, we are currently seeking a talented Assistant Controller to support InBarn as well as our Group Controller to join our head office team in the Fraser Valley.

The Position

The Group Controller position is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on Assistant Controller who will support the group controller in addressing a functional accounting operations and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

You will be tasked with a number of duties that include, but are not limited to:

Month-end reconciliations
Assist in the creation of annual budgets
Maintain payroll compliance for Canadian and US entities
Monthly and annual reporting
Attend all management meetings as required
Oversee and mentor accounting teams
Review expenses
Payroll oversight
Qualifications

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

At least 2 to 3 years' experience working in an advanced accounting capacity as a staff accountant or comparable role
A wide breadth of accounting and finance knowledge
Knowledge and experience with Dynamics GP or a similar ERP
Working of knowledge and experience with reporting tools such as, PowerBI and Excel Power Query
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel
Able to juggle multiple tasks and complete projects on time
Keen ability to connect with others and develop teams
Some familiarity with the dairy industry is an asset
High level of tact and trustworthiness
