Job Description
Our client is a well-established agricultural co-operative with deep roots in Southern Alberta’s farming community. Based on the west side of Lethbridge, they provide financial and administrative services to support producers across the region.
Job Overview
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to support their day-to-day financial and administrative operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and being part of a team that values accuracy, professionalism, and agricultural sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Complete account reconciliations and journal entries
Prepare and issue invoices; monitor payments and follow up on outstanding accounts
Assist with month-end and year-end financial close procedures
Support external accountants during audits and financial reporting
Accurately record and manage all financial transactions using Sage 300
Perform general office administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scheduling, and responding to phone and email inquiries
Maintain organized financial and administrative records, both digital and physical
Support the team to ensure smooth daily office operations
What You’ll Bring
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience as a bookkeeper or administrative assistant in a professional office setting
Proficiency in Sage 300 accounting software
Strong understanding of A/P, A/R, general ledger entries, and reconciliation processes
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative office team
Familiarity with agriculture or co-operative business models is a strong asset
