JOB DUTIES: WORK ON A TEAM TO MAINTAIN COMPANY’S ENTERPRISE DATA PLATFORM WITH A FOCUS ON RELIABILITY, SECURITY, SCALABILITY AND GOVERNANCE APPLYING KNOWLEDGE OF MODERN DATA PIPELINES AND CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES. COLLABORATE WITH TEAM MEMBERS WITH BACKGROUNDS IN DATA, CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE AND SOFTWARE ENGINEERING TO OVERSEE THE JIRA ALIGN DATA WHICH CUSTOMERS USE TO MAKE IMPORTANT BUSINESS DECISIONS IN THEIR SOFTWARE PORTFOLIO, INCLUDING OLTP AND OLAP SYSTEMS. DEVELOP DATA SOLUTIONS FOR ENTERPRISE-CLASS CUSTOMERS WITH A GROUNDING IN ANALYTICAL DATA PLATFORMS DEMONSTRATING RECENT AWS KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING OF FUNDAMENTALS OF DATA SYSTEMS AND COMMON DATA STACKS. PERFORM UPDATES TO THE DATA PIPELINE, INCLUDING DATA TRANSFORMATION AND CHANGES TO THE DATABASE TECHNICAL STACKS, TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY AS WELL AS EXTEND FUNCTIONALITY. PARTNER WITH FULL STACK SCRUM TEAMS WHO OVERSEE THE ENTITIES ALONG WITH THEIR PARTNERS TO VALIDATE THE RULES FOR THE DATA PIPELINE. ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN SUPPORTING MACHINE LEARNING PROJECTS THAT REQUIRE OUR DATA. IDENTIFY SUCCESS METRICS ENSURING OKR/ROADMAP AWARENESS TO SUPPORT CUSTOMERS' USAGE OF THE SYSTEM.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE OR A RELATED FIELD PLUS 3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN DATA ENGINEERING WITH A CUSTOMER-FACING PRODUCTION SOLUTION, INCLUDING EXPERIENCE WITH PYTHON, NOSQL, PUBLIC CLOUD (AWS, AZURE), AND RELATIONAL DATABASE, DEMONSTRATED SUCCESS WITH SUPPORTING A SYSTEM IN PRODUCTION AND MAKING LARGE POSITIVE IMPROVEMENTS, EXPERIENCE WITH ACCOMPLISHING SOFTWARE DELIVERY WITH AN AGILE TEAM.
