We’re growing the team and looking for our next 2 Senior Analyst in Balance Sheet Performance and the roles are a real hybrid of technical and commercial/financial.

We’re seeking those who can contribute ideas, continuous improvement and beyond; be part of new initiatives and bring a curiosity about your key stakeholders to build highly collaborative and successful working relationships.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, Balance Sheet Performance, the Senior Analysts are responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and balance sheet modelling processes including production of actuals, forecasting and stress testing activities. The role will:

Operate and maintain the Net Interest Income (NII) & FTP frameworks that underpin the bank’s internal view of margin performance.
Drive margin optimisation through analysis of product pricing, portfolio mix, rate changes and customer behaviour.
Partner with Treasury, Risk and business units to align FTP and forecast assumptions with market rates, hedging strategies and interest rate risk positions.
Assist with technical implementation of model and methodology changes to reflect updated product behaviour, interest rate assumptions, or liquidity cost allocations.
Work collaboratively with Technology to ensure stability of the system

These are permanent positions and open to full or part-time. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum 3 days per week based out of our Melbourne, Adelaide, Bendigo, Sydney or Brisbane corporate offices.


What you’ll bring to the role
To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Business, Commerce, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics or Actuarial Science preferred and/or
Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience at an Australian banking preferably in a finance function.
Strong working knowledge of bank balance sheets, banking book systems, FTP, IRRBB data, operations, and products.
Strong understanding of SQL Server is advantageous for data analysis, reporting and process automation.
A strong work ethic with a proven ability to show initiative, manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed deadlines.
Skilled in building highly collaborative, strong working relationships
