The award winning Oswego Hotel is looking for a full-time Breakfast Cook for the Aegir Room Restaurant. We are a busy, high volume restaurant located in James Bay and we are looking to hire someone who can handle a fast paced environment and be able to work with with a small team.

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Breakfast Cook you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and maintaining high standards of food safety. This position requires leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and staff supervision.
Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and presentation meet restaurant standards.
Must have high standards for executing dishes with consistency.
Must be comfortable making breakfast items
Able to work without supervision
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Provide support during peak service times to ensure smooth operations.
Experience

Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably as a Breakfast Cook or similar position within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is highly desirable.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
