The Mission for this Role

As Senior Developer (WooCommerce | Full-Stack), you’ll own the technical side of our website development and our conversion-rate-optimisation programme— customising and extending WooCommerce, coding high-velocity A/B tests, and piping clean data to our analytics layer. Your north star is uplift: build faster, measure accurately, and turn winning experiments into permanent features.

How You’ll Fit with the Team

Report directly to the Lead CRO Specialist and the Director of E-commerce.
Work solo on experiment design, build, analysis and reporting—there is no separate UX or data team.
Partner with DevOps for deploys, but own plugin and theme code end-to-end.
Remote-first; we overlap four hours per workday with GMT-5 (Peru)
Authority to propose, build and QA experiments without multiple sign-offs.
Key Responsibilities

Build and launch layouts, features and A/B tests in VWO, maintaining a rapid experiment cadence and airtight QA.
Extend WooCommerce via custom hooks, filters and plugins to support personalisation, dynamic pricing and other conversion features.
Deploy and maintain server-side GTM containers (or Segment/RudderStack) to guarantee reliable, privacy-safe event tracking for all tests.
Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

Worked with Optimizely, VWO or Convert for more than two years, delivering measurable conversion gains
Proficient in PHP 8 and WooCommerce, with experience writing custom plugins and using hooks/filters.
Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and modern front-end skills (React or Vue) for building high-performance test variants.
Hands-on experience with REST APIs for integrating third-party services.
Working knowledge of server-side tagging with GTM, Segment or similar, plus familiarity with Docker or cloud runtimes.
Preferred Qualifications

Git and CI/CD pipelines with automated tests and deploys.
SQL skills for cohort deep dives and ad-hoc analysis.
Performance tuning of WooCommerce (Nginx FastCGI, Redis, CDN).
Feature-flag frameworks (LaunchDarkly, VWO Full-Stack) for rapid roll-outs.
Exposure to P&L responsibility or growth-squad environments.
