Job description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations, including the supervision of staff, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving. The role ensures that products are stored, handled, and distributed effectively while adhering to safety regulations and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision and Leadership:
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff to ensure productivity and safety.
• Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members.
• Monitor employee performance and provide guidance or corrective actions as needed.
• Inventory Management:
• Ensure inventory is stored properly and is easily accessible.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to maintain accuracy.
• Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure stock levels are adequate.
• Maintain proper documentation of incoming and outgoing goods.
• Shipping and Receiving:
• Oversee the shipment of products to customers, ensuring orders are processed on time and correctly.
• Manage the receiving of shipments, including inspection, sorting, and storing items.
• Ensure all paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments is accurate and up to date.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure all warehouse operations comply with safety standards and regulations.
• Conduct safety training and enforce proper use of safety equipment and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Equipment and Facility Maintenance:
• Ensure warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify areas for operational improvement and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Develop and implement best practices to improve warehouse processes and reduce operational costs.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain records of inventory levels, shipments, and other key metrics.
• Prepare regular reports for management regarding warehouse performance, inventory status, and any issues encountered.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred).
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Skills:
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more) as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.

Working Conditions:
• The role typically takes place in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• The job may require working outside normal business hours, including weekends or evenings, depending on the company’s schedule.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
