We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Carpenter Supervisor to lead our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of carpentry practices. As a Carpenter Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively communicate with team members, subcontractors, and clients.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpenters and other construction workers on-site.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring that all work is completed within specified parameters.
Conduct regular quality control inspections to maintain high standards of workmanship.
Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for project tracking and documentation.
Collaborate with project managers to develop construction estimates and schedules.
Train and mentor junior carpenters in best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on-site.
Experience
Proven experience as a Carpenter Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, construction estimating, and quality control processes.
Proficiency in using construction management software including Bluebeam for project documentation.
Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to understand complex schematics.
Demonstrated ability to build strong teams through effective supervision and training.
Familiarity with various carpentry techniques and materials used in construction projects.
