Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC VTL Operator / Programmer to set up, operate, and program vertical turning lathes (VTLs) for machining precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathe machines to perform precision turning, facing, boring, and threading operations.
Read and engineering drawings, and job orders.
Select appropriate tools, inserts, and fixtures for machining. Write, edit, or modify CNC programs (Fanuc controls).
Perform part inspections using measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges to ensure quality and tolerance requirements are met.
Monitor machine operations and adjust feeds, speeds, and tooling as necessary.
Maintain machines in good working condition and ensure routine maintenance is carried out.
Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
Record production data and report issues or deviations to supervisors.

Requirements:

ITI / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2-5 years of hands-on experience in operating and programming CNC VTL machines.
Knowledge of CNC controls (Fanuc Control).
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Familiarity with machining of large components (optional, based on your industry).
Good understanding of tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds.
Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with large diameter jobs.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM (optional).

Based on experience and skills.
