Job Description of Assistant Professor – Finance
Location: Gautam Buddha Nagar, Greater Noida - 201310 | Uttar Pradesh

Role Overview
We are inviting applications from dynamic, passionate, and research-inclined educators for the position of Assistant Professor in Finance. This foundational role involves delivering concept-rich lectures, actively engaging in research, and contributing enthusiastically to academic and institutional development. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a strong learning environment and exploring new frontiers in finance.
Key Responsibilities
Teach core finance subjects at undergraduate and potentially postgraduate levels, including but not limited to:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Principles of Taxation
Introduction to Financial Markets & Institutions
Business Valuation Fundamentals
Basic Financial Management
Design and implement contemporary finance curriculum, incorporating practical case studies, real-world applications, and problem-based learning approaches.
Actively conduct research, contributing to academic journals (UGC-CARE listed, Scopus-indexed), conference proceedings, and participating in faculty development programs.
Guide students in academic projects, presentations, and encourage pursuit of relevant finance certifications.
Assist diligently in institutional audits, quality assurance processes, and accreditation documentation.
Facilitate interactive learning sessions, promote financial literacy initiatives on campus, and engage students in co-curricular activities.
Stay current with evolving market trends, financial tools, regulatory changes, and emerging FinTech developments.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university (candidates submitting thesis are also encouraged to apply).
Master’s Degree (MBA in Finance / M.Com / CA / equivalent) from a recognized institution with strong academic standing.
Minimum 7 years of experience in teaching or academic research in the finance domain. Relevant industry experience in finance will be considered an asset.
Some evidence of publications in academic journals or presentations at reputable finance conferences.
Strong understanding of teaching pedagogy, fundamental financial tools, and student mentoring principles.
Skills & Attributes
Strong grounding in finance theory, financial markets, financial instruments, and accounting principles.
Hands-on knowledge of essential finance software and analytical tools, including:
Microsoft Excel for data analysis and basic financial modeling.
Exposure to financial databases (e.g., Moneycontrol, NSL/BSE data).
Familiarity with basic accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) if applicable.
Interest in learning and applying new tools like Python/R for basic data tasks.
Good interpersonal skills and a student-centered teaching approach, prioritizing effective learning.
Eager to learn and adapt to emerging trends in the finance domain, including FinTech and sustainable finance.
Strong research inclination with a keen interest in capital markets, financial innovation, and contributing to scholarly work.
Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written.
