The Credit and Fraud Risk Management team is a crucial part of TELUS's Customer Management and Billing Services. They are responsible for managing credit assessments, fraud risk, and maintaining related services for both wireline and wireless customers.We are a diverse team, with team members across Canada, and internationally. Join our team as a member of the Credit and Fraud Risk Management team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our business sponsors, and define, assess and develop our key credit and fraud services. You will collaborate with talented team members to deliver innovative solutions and operational excellence with our business partners. What you'll do


As an L4 DevOps team member, you will play a crucial role in enabling TELUS stakeholders throughout the software development cycle, from user story refinement, to assessment, design and delivery. Your experience and expertise will help realize business needs through software projects and operations. You will collaborate with key business stakeholders and your peers in the development team to drive strategic and transformational initiatives.


Design, develop, and deploy system solutions and enhancements within the workforce management environment
Establish strong relationships with our business partners and across the CIO organizations
Demonstrate leadership by offering input and guidance to the business on their user stories, and technically on the design, assessment, development and infrastructure, to deliver the required features
Produce technical documentation/deliverables that include design specifications, Effort assessments, Technical & Business stories, deployment plans, and other documents
Respond to and perform impact analysis on incoming service/support requests, including documenting technical requirements
Lead the development team during delivery and help coordinate activities related to production readiness and deployment
Seamlessly connect our applications with external vendor APIs, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.
Proactively identify and communicate potential issues or risks
Participate in operational improvement initiatives, in conjunction with other technology teams in the company
Perform problem analysis and management
Lead analysis and prepare summary material (e.g, assessments) to support decision-making for projects and drive operational effectiveness
What you bring


Degree in science, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
Minimum 7 years of full stack software development experience
Proficiency in Java, SpringBoot, Node.js.
Experience with Google Cloud (GCP) services (e.g. GKE, Dataflow, Cloud PubSub, CloudSQL, Firestore, MemoryStore).
An understanding of containerization and microservices architecture and its application to software development
Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident with presenting material to peers and senior management
Hands-on familiarity with testing methodologies and quality control
You have past experience with J2EE, Oracle, WebLogic, Openshift, ESB, JMS

Great-to-haves


Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Telecommunications experience (wireless and wireline)
Experience with PubSub and event driven architectures
Advanced ability to lead and collaborate with diverse groups and technical teams (internal and/or external)
Excel in a fast-paced environment, look for ways to remove barriers and drive results
Experience working with Oracle Enterprise Service Bus (ESB/OSB) is a plus.
Experience working with BRMS vendor products like FICO DMP is a plus.
Certifications in Google Cloud are highly desirable.
Interest in AI

Salary Range: $+5,000-$143,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
