Summing it up

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations across all companies within the organization. This includes maintaining accurate records, assisting with month-end processes, and ensuring consistency and compliance in financial practices across multiple entities. The role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is eager to grow within a collaborative and dynamic environment


What you'll be doing

Transactional accounting

Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry, payments and collections.
Prepare and post journal entries for daily and recurring transactions.
Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash balances.
Assist with payroll related journal entries and reconciliations.

Month end Close & Reporting

Support month end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations and intercompany entries.
Assist in preparing internal financial reports and variance analysis.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
Operational Support

Collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial data.
Support the administration of rental and tenant agreements.
Help maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Other duties

Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation.
Participate in system upgrades and process improvements.
Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests.

Who you are

Experience in property management, hospitality, or strata-titled environments is an asset.
2-3 years' of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Familiar with accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite.
Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite.
Familiarity with HRIS system and Property Management Systems considered an asset.
