Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and have experience in both delivery and warehouse environments. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
Operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, to deliver products to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
Load and unload goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving to ensure safety on the road.
Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and stock replenishment.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles.
Experience as a van driver or delivery driver with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes.
Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and customers effectively.
Ability to drive various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, safely and efficiently.
Strong organisational skills to manage delivery schedules and maintain accurate records.
