Specialist Learning Support Teacher

The Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Learning Support Teacher to join our welcoming Swan Hill team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Commencing in Term 3, 2026 this position will be responsible for supporting a high needs student within Primary and Secondary. It may also involve running and overseeing intervention programs, planning curriculum programs for students with additional learning needs, writing Individual Education Plans and providing program support to teaching staff, across our primary and secondary faculties.

About You
All applicants will need an excellent understanding of the Australian Curriculum and Syllabus, be a VIC registered teacher, and have relevant teaching and tertiary qualifications.

As a Learning Support Teacher, you will be skilled in the ability to identify and evaluate student needs, differentiate instruction for students along all parts of the learning spectrum, collect, analyse, and effectively utilise data, create and implement individualised education plans and be able to provide professional guidance to staff. You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom teaching practices, to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies including video conferencing and online resources.

About the Campus
The town of Swan Hill is located on the banks of the Murray River in the lakes district of northern Victoria. Swan Hill Campus is located in a very quiet court that provides a spacious and secure environment, while still allowing easy access to the town amenities. The campus is a modern purpose-built facility with the recent addition of a large multi-purpose centre. Around half of the students who attend the Campus travel from the nearby town of Kerang.
