Job Summary :

Heart & Soul Ethnique Wear is looking for an experienced and creative Senior Fashion Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in ethnic wear, particularly sarees, and a deep understanding of fabrics, embroidery, and traditional craftsmanship. This role requires a passion for blending contemporary trends with traditional aesthetics to create unique saree designs that resonate with modern consumers.

Key Responsibilities :
• Design innovative sarees and ethnic wear collections in line with market trends and brand identity.
• Develop original concepts, patterns, and colour palettes for each collection.
• Conduct research on fashion trends, colour forecasts, and consumer preferences.
• Work closely with other fashion designers, merchandisers, and production teams to bring designs to life.
• Oversee sampling and ensure the final product meets quality and design standards.
• Collaborate with artisans and vendors to incorporate embroidery, prints, and embellishments.
• Maintain design archives, sketches, and mood boards for future reference.
• Participate in buyer meetings, exhibitions, and presentations to showcase new collections.

Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Designing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in sarees.
• Strong knowledge of fabric selection, embroidery techniques, and draping styles.
• Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW.
• Creative mind-set with an ability to conceptualize unique and marketable designs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Please note that applications from candidates with backgrounds in Textile Design, Leather Design, or Knitwear Design will not be considered. Only those with a core qualification in Fashion Design and relevant experience in saree design are eligible to apply.
