Job description
FinXL IT is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to join our high-performing team within a leading financial services organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work on modern, scalable systems in a dynamic and innovative environment.

What You'll Be Working On
As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you'll bring your deep technical expertise to build and maintain high-quality, scalable applications. You'll be involved in the full development lifecycle, from designing APIs to implementing robust solutions for complex systems integration.

Requirements
Advanced Java programming skills
Experience working with Kafka for event streaming
Proficiency with Spring Boot framework
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS
Strong command of SQL, including writing complex queries and DDL
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
Strong understanding of design patterns, system architecture, and scalable solutions
Experience integrating API-based systems in modern environments
Proficiency with Bitbucket or similar source control platforms
Solid awareness of security principles and secure coding practices
