Early Childhood Educator

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a nurturing and supportive learning environment for children
- Plan and supervise activities to stimulate physical, social, and intellectual growth
- Monitor and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and observations
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's development

Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education needs and accommodations
- Familiar with How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy

Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications related to teaching and record keeping
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children

Education:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required
- Registered Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
