About Us:
Thrive Urban Wellness is a modern wellness boutique and community hub offering curated products, workshops, and access to trusted wellness professionals. We’re in search of a skilled Web Content + SEO Specialist to support a focused refresh of our Shopify website and improve online visibility.
This is a flexible, project-based role ideal for someone who blends design sensibility, SEO expertise, original content writing, and technical know-how.
Responsibilities:
Audit and update existing Shopify website content, structure, and navigation
Create clear, original, brand-aligned website copy with an emphasis on user experience (UX writing)
Optimize content and pages for SEO and local search
Manage and update Google Business Profiles
Ensure responsive design and mobile usability
Identify, evaluate, and integrate Shopify apps to improve workflow efficiency and reduce redundancies
Collaborate with a small internal team to maintain tone, consistency, and layout clarity
Qualifications:
Proven experience in Shopify, including content management and app integration
Strong background in SEO (on-page and local search)
Demonstrated skill in writing original website content and improving UX through thoughtful structure
Experience managing and optimizing Google Business Profiles
Sharp visual and layout skills with an eye for design
Bonus: familiarity with Shopify apps such as Appointo, Sufio, Downpay, or similar
Bonus: experience with HTML/CSS, graphic design, or the wellness sector
Contract Details:
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: ~6–8 weeks
Rate: $30–$50/hour based on experience
Work Location: Remote-friendly (Ontario-based preferred)
