Job Description

About Us

We’re looking for a full-time Social Media Manager & Content Creator to lead visual storytelling and digital content creation for both Green Theory and Outerspace. This role blends hands-on production with strategy and execution, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, design-savvy environment with a sharp eye, strong camera skills, and an instinct for brand presence. We’re looking for someone who is not only creatively skilled, but also a confident self-starter who can take initiative and move projects forward independently.

What You’ll Do
Build Awareness
- Own and execute a social media strategy that builds visibility for both brands
- Create content that aligns with brand values while tapping into trends, audio, and cultural moments
- Ensure a consistent, elevated visual identity across platforms

Create All Social Content
- Take ownership of content production from concept to execution: planning, photography, video, writing, editing, and posting
- Capture product, lifestyle, and environmental photography for digital and social use
- Film and edit short-form video content that drives engagement and tells a story (Reels, TikToks)
- Design visually compelling posts, carousels, and stories for Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn (and possibly develop TikTok and YouTube)
- Plan and produce on-location content for installs, brand collaborations, showroom activations, and events
- Stay informed on emerging trends, platform updates, and shifts in audience preferences

Strategic Execution & Community Engagement

- Schedule and publish content using planning tools like Later or similar

- Track and report on performance analytics, learnings, and audience behaviour
- Engage with the community by responding to DMs, comments, and mentions in a timely, on-brand voice
- Stay informed on emerging trends, platform updates, and shifts in audience preferences

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing, events, and design teams to align on campaign needs and visual direction
- Support seasonal launches, new products, and paid campaigns with performance-optimized content
- Help ideate and produce content for newsletters, case studies, and other digital marketing assets

What You Bring
- Strong photography and video creation skills, including editing for social-first formats
- Ability to shoot and direct content on-location with minimal setup support
- Experience with both DSLR workflows (professional camera usage, manual settings, photo/video file management) and mobile-first creation
- Proficiency in tools like Lightroom, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Later or similar
- Deep knowledge of Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
- Ability to tailor voice, visuals, and timing for each channel and brand
- Keen awareness of social and cultural trends with a strong sense of aesthetic and brand tone
- Familiarity with copyright usage: ability to identify and properly use licensed music, images, video, and other third-party content
- Self-directed and proactive, with the ability to manage projects independently, timelines, and creative execution from start to finish
- A balance of creative flair and strategic thinking
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage both daily content and longer-term campaign timelines
- Bonus: Drone photography/video experience, and/or background in design-adjacent industries (interiors, architecture, landscape, lifestyle)

We’re looking for a mid to senior-level candidate with 3–6 years of experience in content creation, social media strategy, or a related creative field. Open to freelancers and contractors depending on fit. Strong preference for candidates available to join our internal team.
