As a senior Medical Receptionist, you'll be at the heart of our patient experience, creating a warm and welcoming environment and supporting our less experienced staff to develop along their career journey.
We currently seeking a Senior Medical Receptionist to join the team on a Full-time permanent role, working rotating shifts across our Launceston clinics, Monday to Friday between 6.45am to 9pm.

Role Overview:
As a Senior Medical Receptionist your responsibilities will include:
Patient Interaction:
Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously.
Assist patients with appointment scheduling.
Administrative Tasks:
Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently.
Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing).
Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, DVA and Workcover.
Handle internal emails and inquiries.
Maintain a tidy reception waiting area.
Collaboration:
Work autonomously and as part of a team.
Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously.
Fill in the roster when staff are on annual or sick leave.
Ensure accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records.
Confidentiality:
Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality.
Complete recalls and follow privacy protocols.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous medical receptionist and call centre experience (highly desirable but not essential)
Clear communication skills, both in speaking and listening, along with patience and empathy for people in varying situations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Customer service experience
You'll be flexible working autonomously and in a team environment
