Job Description

Job Summary
We are looking for someone to be able to work one day a week for min 4 hours a day. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounting records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to grow their careers in accounting and finance.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for data entry and reporting.
Collaborate with senior accountants to streamline financial processes.
Willing to learn personal and corporate tax preparation
Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and insights.
Contribute to financial auditing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus.
Familiarity with financial services and basic accounting principles.
Experience or coursework in account analysis, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, and financial auditing is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
