Haste is a new kind of social app, focused on growing friendships naturally with an exclusive community of the city's most interesting, influential people. This is a role that offers a large amount of equity in exchange for your time. With thousands of early users and launches on both app stores, we’re growing fast and ready to invest in our brand and user acquisition.
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and gritty Marketing Lead to join our founding team. You’ll own the growth engine: building our brand, launching viral campaigns, managing influencer relationships, and scaling our user base. This is a role for a doer, someone who thrives in chaos, moves fast, and wants to build a household name.

What You’ll Do:
Own Growth: Design and execute scrappy, high-impact user acquisition strategies across digital, social media, campus/community marketing, and more
Build the Brand: Develop a bold, authentic voice and identity that sets Haste apart in the dating space
Lead Campaigns: Run marketing experiments across social, paid, content, partnerships, and events, whatever works
Create Content: Work with creators or produce social-first content that makes people stop scrolling
Manage Retention: Work with product and data to improve onboarding, engagement, and viral loops
Drive Press & Influencer Buzz: Get people talking, in media, on campus, and across TikTok
Measure What Matters: Track growth KPIs and optimize relentlessly based on data and feedback
You Might Be a Fit If You:
Have 4–7 years of marketing experience, ideally in a startup or social app environment
Have launched or grown a consumer brand, app, or community
Are a creative thinker with strong execution skills, you make things happen fast
Understand the Toronto scene (events, creators, youth culture, etc.)
Are comfortable wearing many hats and doing hands-on work
Love marketing but are obsessed with results, not just vibes
Are energized by the chaos and freedom of startup life
Bonus if you’ve worked in dating, social, Gen Z marketing, nightlife, or event-based growth.
