Highly trained ophthalmologists, as well as experienced optometrists, combine their considerable expertise to give each and every patient the best possible care. Ophthalmology LTD delivers treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as cornea transplants, oculoplastic surgery, retina surgery, and vitreoretinal surgery in Sioux Falls.
Our "eye only" ambulatory surgery center hosts the region's most experienced, comprehensive ophthalmic surgery and subspecialty surgeons.
We are looking to add a Registered Nurse - Pre-op/Post-op to our team. This person will be act as part of a team admitting and discharging patients and completing pre and post-operative care in accordance with physician's orders and center policies. Will provide direct and indirect care and support to patients before and after eye surgery, prioritizing additional responsibilities such as phone calls, operating the YAG Laser, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a high-volume surgery center and the candidate must be professional and able to stay on task while providing quality patient care.
This position is full-time, Monday - Thursday primary hours with some Friday's as scheduled based on surgical need. No evenings, nights, or weekend shifts, and no call.
Licensing, education and training requirements:
Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current South Dakota RN license
Basic Life Support certification
ACLS
