We are seeking a results-driven and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Buyer I. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring cost effectiveness and meeting financial goals by overseeing the cost of goods, managing service levels, and maximizing inventory efficiency. Your work will require close collaboration with category management teams, vendors, supply chain, and sourcing, all while staying informed on both global and local market trends. You will also have the opportunity to develop and execute promotional strategies that support brand initiatives and drive sales growth. If you're a self-starter with a proven track record in inventory management and a strong ability to build cross-functional relationships, we want to hear from you.
What we ask of you:
Direct accountability for cost of goods to ensure overall financial goals are being met, manage service levels objectives to ensure timely delivery of products to the stores, and maximize inventory turns to optimize working capital.
Maintain a strong working relationship with category management teams, vendor community, supply chain and sourcing.
Have keen awareness and knowledge base of global and local markets conditions. Provide regular updates to supply chain, quality assurance and category management teams.
Determine and execute promotional and opportunity buys to support brand specific promotional plans and drive incremental sales and margin improvements.
Must be highly motivated, independent performer, and able to set own priorities in concert with overall company goals and strategy.
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
A minimum of 3 years experience in inventory management, procurement, or a related field
Proven track record of cost negotiation and managing product categories
Strong relationship-building skills;
Experience working cross functionally
Strong analytical skills
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong organizational and prioritization skills
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Self-starter, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently

The starting salary for this position is $86,320 and will be commensurate with background, experience as well as internal equity.
