Events Manager - Full Time, 34,000
We are excited to invite a new member to our established events and venue management team based in Colchester, Essex. We offer a range of services within the hospitality sector including weddings, events, festivals, catering, bar services, venue management and much more.
We are a fast-paced team which thrives by the support of our peers, the perfect candidate will be willing and flexible to recognise where help is required and deliver without question. Be proactive in the event planning process and foresee issues before they arise. Have an excellent can-do attitude where client satisfaction is paramount.
The role will vary and include being an event supervisor for dry hires, bar manager, front of house manager and team member depending on the schedule of events. It is a hands-on role that requires fantastic energy and an excellent team player attitude.
Experience and must haves-
Be able to manage, or support other managers, to deliver events.
Support the wedding and events coordinators within our venues with admin, preparation and staff schedules as necessary.
Host show rounds and open day events across our venues.
Be willing to travel between venues across London, Essex and Suffolk (fuel, parking and travel charges to London venues will be subsidised, with company vehicles available for the correct candidate).
Be flexible and willing to work across all hours throughout the week as required including late nights and weekends.
Have a strong understanding of delivering high quality weddings and events with exceptional attention to detail and client satisfaction.
Have experience in leading a team through meal service with a good knowledge of a commercial kitchens, including H&S and allergens.
Have a full UK driving licence and the ability to work abroad if required.
Have a good knowledge of all Microsoft applications.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Be willing to assist with housekeeping during peak times if the team require assistance.
Confident in stock management, waste management and ordering.
Have a good understanding of delivering a bar service with basic cocktails and presentation knowledge.
Ability to liaise with suppliers, clients and kitchen teams throughout your events confidently.
Have a fair knowledge of cultural weddings and celebrations.
Be physically able to load and unload equipment for each event with the team.
