Ultimate Victoria is seeking to employ a full-time Operations Manager to provide services in Canberra for Ultimate Disc. Applications close on Tuesday 12 August 2026.

Who We Are: Ultimate Victoria (UV) is the peak body for the sport of Ultimate Disc in Victoria. We are working in partnership with Canberra Ultimate (CU), the corresponding peak body in the Australian Capital Territory. These responsibilities include delivering and growing the ACT’s leagues, tournaments, and player development programs, as well as providing support to the Board for administration and marketing activities.

About the Role: Reporting directly to the CU Board and UV’s General Manager, the Operations Manager will oversee CU’s volunteer cohort to ensure operational management, administration and reporting requirements are met for our leagues, tournaments, and other relevant programs. In addition to oversight and quality assurance, the Operations Manager will be able to contribute to growing the player base for Ultimate in the ACT and surrounds by expanding existing offerings and promoting new programs. Only candidates who are based in the ACT and surrounds, or who are willing to relocate to the ACT at their own expense will be considered.

The employee exercises initiative, discretion and judgment within the range of their skills and knowledge. Supervision is by means of reporting to more senior staff as required.”). The expected salary will be $76,000 per annum plus superannuation.

Duties and Reporting: Specific duties are negotiable and may change over time, but are envisaged to include:

1. Overseeing volunteer league and tournament directors to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality playing experiences, including advising the CU Board on the appointment of volunteer directors when needed.

2. Performing administrative and marketing tasks to prepare for and promote leagues and tournaments and assisting with relevant grant applications as directed by the CU Board.

3. Providing regular reports to the CU Board and UV’s General Manager on operational matters, including how leagues and tournaments are operating and attending Board meetings as required.

4. Advising the CU Board on opportunities to improve league or tournament operations, such as improving quality, accessibility, or participation rates, and supporting implementation of operational improvements.

5. Advising on and providing operational support to new and existing player recruitment activities and development programs, with particular focus on programs which:

a. Attract new players to the sport and teach fundamental skills

b. Provide development pathways for youth and junior players

c. Uplift capabilities of the CU volunteer base such as through delivering training or accreditation
