Prime Opportunity for an experienced Financial Planning Analyst to join Swinburne.
Full-time position based in a central Hawthorn location.

As the Senior FP&A Analyst, you’ll deliver accurate and insightful analysis and reporting to key stakeholders, including the Executive Group and University Council. Your work will span critical areas such as University load and revenue, performance metrics, and financial trends—empowering leaders with the data they need to shape the future of education.
Beyond analysis, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering the University’s annual budgeting and forecasting processes. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate across departments, streamline financial planning, and contribute to a culture of transparency and excellence. About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
Assist in the production of standard (e.g. monthly and quarterly) University wide financial performance reporting and analysis to the Executive Group and Council.
Lead the modeling and production of University- wide load and revenue analysis and prepare recurring and ad-hoc load and revenue reports including key metrics, trends and insights that align with the University strategy.
Support the annual budget, quarterly and 5-year forecasting planning processes and timelines including the coordination of the load and revenue planning activities.
Deliver the load and revenue budgeting and forecasting processes across the Finance team ensuring the forecast timelines are met and reporting outcomes are delivered in line with KPI’s
Identify and implement process improvements in the reporting and analysis of University wide financial information to key stakeholders, including the integration of data analytics into financial analysis and reporting to provide insights and drive discussions.

Qualifications
Accounting degree/Membership of Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA).
Experience working in Higher Education or a large and complex organisation, in a Commercial Finance, General Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis capacity.
